Jimmy Robinson is the President of Robinson and Stith Insurance in New Bern, NC, and has been a leader in the insurance industry since 1984. He earned his Certified Insurance Consoler (CIC) designation in 1991. Today, Jimmy oversees the agency’s day to day operations. In addition, he brings expertise in personal lines, commercial lines, and life and health insurance. 

Throughout his career, Jimmy has served on insurance carrier advisory councils at both the regional and national levels. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors for the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC). In recognition of his outstanding service and leadership, the North Carolina Department of Insurance honored him with the Order of the Guardian, its highest award. Furthermore, under his leadership, Robinson and Stith received the Century Award for more than 100 years in business. New Berns residents have also voted the agency New Berns Best Insurance Agency every year since 2018.

Before joining the agency, Jimmy worked as a teacher and coach in Havelock, NC. He graduated from Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College) with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education. While there, he started on the baseball team for four years, from 1968 to 1972. Later, in 2010, West Craven High School inducted him into its Athletic Hall of Fame.
